Hugh Budge founded Cove Build in 2020 (originally called Budge Construction), with a vision to collaborate with clients who share his passion for quality, creativity, and craftsmanship. our building process

  • Give us a call or email to get started. Hugh, our Director, will discuss your goals and offer advice and suggestions. Our aim is to align expectations from the outset, ensuring we find a solution tailored to your project.

  • Following our initial meeting, we will arrange a site visit to asses your site’s environment, taking into consideration; lifestyle elements, property restrictions and boundaries. This visit allows us to validate any recommendations we make regarding your upcoming new build or renovation.

  • If needed, one of our trusted architects will collaborate with you to understand your design brief and develop a comprehensive plan. If you already have a design concept from your personal architect, we will connect with them. For top results, your architect and builder should collaborate closely and as early as possible.

  • We fine-tune and finalise the plans, adding as much detail as possible to prevent any surprises during the build. Once the plans are complete, we promptly begin the building consent process. Since consents can take time to be processed, we act quickly to maintain momentum and meet the proposed project schedule.

  • We collaborate with you throughout the construction phase to ensure your vision, budget, and delivery expectations are met. Our team maintains constant communication through weekly client meetings and monthly construction status reports. Our commitment to client service ensures you receive the best possible experience throughout your build.

  • The job is complete, and it's time for us to hand over the keys. We conduct a final walkthrough to ensure everything meets your expectations. Now, you can personalise the space and make it feel like home with your unique touches. If you need assistance with style and colour, our interior designers are available to help. Additionally, if you're looking for something special, we can assist you with custom furniture.
